As a Korean American (married to a Japanese American), Christine is passionate about serving Asian communities throughout Southern California and beyond, especially when it comes to the sensitive topic of domestic violence.

Christine is a Survivor of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. She accepts invitations to speak about her personal experience in an effort to raise awareness about these issues. You can also learn more about this part of Christine's mission by visiting www.uclasian.com.

Did you know that one out of two Asian and Pacific Islander (API) immigrant women in the U.S. have been physically, sexually, and/or emotionally abused? They're also the least likely to report it.

Christine has had the privilege of speaking at colleges, high schools, government/law enforcement offices, hospitals and other non-profit organizations. She would be honored to address audiences in either English or Korean.

"NBC Asian America wanted to bring the topic of domestic violence in our community into the light... once we found Christine, I knew we had a champion to tell this meaningful and necessary story." - Dan Chen, Director
