This month I got to experience the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival for the first time!
I created a travel video series highlighting my favorite experiences.
On our first day, my husband and I got up early to be at the Lake Skinner Recreation Area by 5:30am. Our goal was to go up in a hot air balloon, but unfortunately the heavy fog kept us tethered to the ground. Still, I got to meet some fun people including Chikako from Terrace House and Kim from a nonprofit that helps people with physical limitations to check off their bucket list item of soaring through the skies.
At the wine tasting portion of the festival, I met Akash, a fellow Asian American whose parents helped him open up his own winery. It was a true American dream story.
I also met Susan, who is living my dream retirement life. She and her husband own a beautiful winery called Casa Tiene Vista, and their cute dog represents one of their award-winning wines.
