15 Days in Hawaii - Maui, Big Island, Oahu

My husband and I recently returned home after spending two weeks island hopping in Hawaii. I'm creating Travel Vlogs for every day of our journey - you'll get notified when my weekly vlogs get scheduled if you're subscribed to my Facebook/YouTube pages!

Below is our highlight from each island that we visited:

Maui - Golf

My husband and I started taking golf classes together this fall, and due to our travels we have to miss a few weeks. In order to make up for lost time, we decided to give golfing a try while in Maui if it was affordable. We came across Jimmy's Maui Golf Rentals and rented nice clubs for $35 each (I really enjoyed the TaylorMade Kalea) and played at the beautiful oceanfront 18-hole at Ka'anapali Kai Golf Course for $99 each (non-resort guest fees are listed as $205 on the golf course's official website).

Big Island - Hapuna Beach

I came to the Big Island when I was a kid, and I fell in love with Waikoloa Hilton. During this trip, however, I was blown away by the beauty of Hapuna Beach. Enhancing our experience was the fact that we stayed at The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort for free for three nights (including my birthday night!), thanks to my husband's Marriott Bonvoy points. The resort has an adults-only infinity pool (kids have another pool area they can enjoy), and we enjoyed a private beach experience where I witnessed the most beautiful sunset.

Oahu - Beef Chips

Across the street from a gigantic shopping center in Honolulu called Ala Moana (check out the Shirokiya Japan Village Walk there - it's like being back in Asia!) is a much smaller building that houses a few small businesses. One of them is called Snack Addicted, and meeting its owner Davin quickly became my husband's favorite memory of our trip to Hawaii. Davin makes delicious snacks that can be described as a cross between beef jerky and potato chips (no potatoes, but the texture is that crispy!). He welcomed us into his store as if we were friends, and it was such a pleasure to 'talk story' with a local Hawaiian who was also paving his own path as an entrepreneur. I cherished our conversation and look forward to sharing his personal story via my Travel Vlogs in the coming weeks!
